We were racing down the streets
Searching to find the lights
With tired eyes and clouded minds
We watched as the land passed by
For hours and hours we drove
Fumbling our way to our goal
A sudden scream, our ride broke down
We were stranded on the side of the road

Out of the ashes
Into the fire
We are lost as we ride for the dawn

We rode out in the black of night
Seeking to make the journey swift
But how'd did we deserve this mess
Why did we end up like this?
Finally we got back out
Driving towards the end of the road
In the mist of the morning
When the dark let's go of it's hold
